GROWN MEN AND WOMEN OF ALL AGES CANNOT RESIST PICK-A-PLOT POSSIBILITIES!
“Es macht viel, viel Spass!” (Fun, Fun, Fun! – translated from the German) – Friedrich Maximillian Klinger, age 259
“I do not have friends. I have Pick-A-Plot books.” – John Foster Dulles, age 123
“Pick-A-Plot books almost kept me from blowing my brains out!” – Hedda Gabler, age 29
“I like it when the red water comes out.” – Salad Fingers, age unknown
“You do it to yourself, you do, and that’s what really hurts.” – Thom Yorke, age 27
Do not contemplate reading this book from cover to cover as if it were a copy of Saul Bellow’s Henderson the Rain King that you satcheled for 75 cents at your county library’s summer liquidation sale.
These pages contain many different outbounding adventures in certain parts of the northwestern United States. Not all of them are pretty, some are quite dangerous, but you get to choose which paths are taken.
Remember – you can always go back! Don’t be a nerdy gamebook chump and keep some made-up point system with rules that restrict you from moving back to the last decision without starting over. That would automatically make you a loser. Anyway, good luck, have fun, and start from page one!
