    The wait pays off after a day and a night; somehow, intuitively, you knew that Indians would come around to lend a hand. A raft was used to carry some of the items and oxen across. The wagon was caulked and everything made it safely. In appreciation of their help, you give the Indians some of your coffee and pelts from previous hunts.

    Before you move onward, the natives tell you about a hidden path to stock up on more food and provisions.
